Used Forklift Parts - Unavoidably, forklift parts would eventually wear out and need replacing. The alternative of obtaining brand new parts can become costly so one more idea is to acquire used parts. This could save much money in the end. It is a great idea to purchase used lift truck parts which have been remanufactured. These parts would ensure that you are getting parts which would work for a long time and be productive.
Broken or worn parts which are remanufactured are a cheaper solution than rebuilding. With rebuilding components, just the components which are worn out or broken get changed, which means that other wearable components may break down soon after acquisition.
Remanufacturing however offers the best assurance for used parts. Reproduced components are taken apart and cleaned and then all wearable pieces are changed. All wearable components are replaced regardless of age or wear which is one more reason why remanufactured components in general function so much better. Whatever component within the part is brand new and this provides much longer life to the used part. Based on the forklift components that are being redone, the cleaning process and the whole remanufacturing process will vary.
After complete disassembly, the engines are oven cleaned. Various components of the engine like for example pistons, spark plugs, rings, valve springs, filters, and valves could be replaced during the remanufacture process. The engines are hot tested after reassembly to ensure that there are no noise, no oil pressure problems, no leaks or any vacuum.
Transmissions are oven cleaned, pressure washed, and disassembled. A comprehensive inspection is done so as to check for any cracks. Bearings, bushings and seals are all replaced. Normally, the replacement parts used on transmission components meet OEM specifications.
Some lift truck parts like for instance the water pump, torque converters, the alternator, the starter and steer axles can be quite serviceable after worn components are replaced. The electronic control in the electric forklift is maintained by the control card. This card could also be remanufactured with replacing all aged and worn out components. Not like other lift truck components the control card can only have the worn and aged parts replaced.
Remanufactured components are meticulously inspected upon reassembly to guarantee they are in top condition prior to being sold.
