Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They started out as a small machine shop initially hiring 4 people. Product sales for their first year of operation totaled sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and other components. During five years of operation, the business had stretched to forty staff and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. At present, Cascade is amongst the top worldwide manufacturers within the material handling business.

Manufacture and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities. During the past sixty years, the material handling industry has grown into a very advanced area and Cascade has proudly played a part in this improvement. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the leader supplier of forklift accessories and various related items. Throughout the 1950's, Cascade began to make, design, and promote its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was constructed in 1956, to accommodate all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which continues to be the company's current center of operations. Following 15 years of business, total staff reached a hundred and eighty workers and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.

The next manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the global world of the material handling industry as the company established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production facilities within the United States with places in Springfield, Ohio, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are made globally thanks to numerous subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This facility is made to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and 1997 after acquiring five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide best in forks.
